Half a year after my first visit to Venice, I found myself wandering those same streets. This time, it was for a school trip to the Venice Biennale, meaning we were staying in Venice for a few nights. I had recently acquired the Praktica L, and brought it along with me on a whim on one of our late-night walks around Venice. No lightmeter, no tripod, no shutter release cable, and a 400ISO film? Sounds like a great set-up for long time exposures. In the end, I'm quite glad that I did such a silly thing, as not only did the photos come out quite interesting, they allowed me to learn about the importance of patience (and tripods).
